When should I book my session?

Here are our guidelines on how far out you should be booking your Scoutcase sessions:

Weekender: One week in advance

Getaway: 10-14 days in advance

Jet Set: 10-14 days in advance

Do you help me shop for items I might be missing?

Yes! Scout Couture is happy to help fill in the gaps for any missing pieces you might be needing for your trip. We not only have our Scout Couture complete Collection to choose from, but have years of experience with personal shopping. Whether you want us to shop with you or for you, there is an add-on fee for help.

What happens if my travel plans change?

If your travel plans change and your trip is canceled, we are happy to provide an in store credit for Scout Couture. Either hold your package until you reschedule your trip or use the credit towards a Closet Refresh package or any items within our Scout Couture Collection. We ask that you cancel your session as soon as your plans change.

Do you pack my suitcase for me?

We can certainly pack your suitcase for you! Depending on the package and timing, we will assist with packing your bag(s) if that works best for you.

Is there anything I need to know before I book?

Prior to your Scoutcase session we will send you an email with a little homework to ensure our time together is used to its fullest. No need to worry, we just ask a few easy questions to help with our packing strategy. Please have your itineray handy as that will help us as we are styling your outfits.

Do you help pack for the family?

Absolutely! We are happy to help pack the whole family for an additional add-on. Please let Scout Couture know this upfront so we can plan accordingly.

Who are your services best suited for?

JLJ Travel services are best for discerning travelers who value their time and prefer a personalized, high-quality itinerary over cookie-cutter packages.

How much do your services cost?

Our services start at $500, with different options depending on the level of support you're looking for - from quick, expert guidance for a beach getaway to fully bespoke itineraries starting at $2,500. After we chat about your trip, I'll recommend the best service for your needs and provide exact pricing.

What exactly does JLJ Travel do?

We design fully customized, high-touch travel experiences. That includes researching, planning, and booking flights, accommodations, activities and more - all tailored to your preferences. Think of us as your personal travel concierge.

Do you only book luxury trips?

Not necessarily because luxury isn't one-size-fits-all. While many of our clients prefer premium accommodations and experiences, "luxury" to us is about quality, thoughtful details, and including what matters most to you - not necessarily gold-plated everything.

Do you work with families, couples or solo travelers?

All of the above. Whether it's a honeymoon, family vacation, milestone celebration, or a solo escape, I can curate the perfect trip for you.

Do you only plan international travel?

Not at all - I plan both international and domestic trips. From European city breaks to US National Parks, I help craft memorable journeys wherever you want to go.

How do we get started?

Complete the contact form on our website and we'll schedule and intro call to discuss your trip vision. After that, you'll receive a proposal and planning agreement to get started.

I'm comfortable booking and managing my trip on my own, but need help fine-tuning the details - can JLJ Travel still assist?

Our VIP Travel Planning Day is perfect for you. For one entire workday, Jillian will be your personal travel designer, tackling every trip-related question, plan or challenge.

 

Closet Refresh FAQ’s

What kind of Closet Editing packages do you offer?

The Scout Edit: A one hour guided session that helps you style 3 outfits out of your current closet. Perfect for quick wins and clarity from your current wardrobe.

Closet Clarity: 2.5 hour virtual or in person session. We will completely transform your wardrobe from cluttered to curated.

The Signature Scout: Our most immersive experience. We will meet 4 times a year and

How long will my session last?

Depending on which package you choose, we are working for at least an hour and a half to 3-4 hours.

What do I need to prepare before you arrive and will I be involved in the Editing session?

If you are interested in booking a package, navigate to the Scout Society portion of our website. From there, fill out the form and we will be in touch. No need to prepare anything specific except an open mind and closet. Please do not feel you need to “clean” before I arrive...I have seen it all!

If I have items to donate, what happens with those?

Great question! We are happy to take your items for donation after the session is completed. In fact, this is what we prefer. If you have any items that may be eligible for resale, we will chat through those options during your session.

Will you help me fill in the wardrobe gaps I have after my session?

Scout Couture is happy to help fill in any wardrobe, closet staple gaps. We have a full line of closet staples available in our Scout Couture collection as well as a personal shopping background. If you are interested, we have a specific personal shopping add-on we can talk through during your session.

Am I part of the session or are you working on your own?

Much like our Scoutcase travel packages, we ask you to be a part of the closet editing session if you are available. Together, we will go through each item in your closet and move items into a keep, maybe or donate pile. Scout Couture will help you choose whether each item is worth keeping. If there is a question on whether or not something still fits or works with your current lifestyle, we will work through all of that together! Our expert styling helps you navigate what items also work well together.
